https://balance-menopause.com/uploads/2021/09/Histamine-Intolerance-balance.pdf I’m linking an article I recently came across. This past weekend I finally decided it was time that I start a full on, hard core, no cheats elimination diet. I found out about peri and this app I guess last year in my continued search for what was causing my hives. I know there is a link between my estrogen and histamine that has caused my body to go off rails and become allergic to the sun and to have some very uncomfortable gut issues. The gut has varied over the 7ish years I’ve had the hives. I’ve had other peri symptoms come and go too. None of the doctors I’ve seen have an answer. A recent colonoscopy showed I was healthy and had no visibly physical reason for my severe constipation so I’m left to assume it’s something in my diet. I started a histamine and FODMAP elimination diet last weekend. It’s hard. And I’m off and on grouchy about it. My food options are very limited but I’m eating plenty even if there aren’t a lot of varied meals going on yet. But I already feel and look better. My bloat has reduced tremendously and I’ve lost a few pounds. I’m not on any HRT. I stopped taking all my supplements because I wasn’t sure if they were doing harm or help. I ate really well before starting this elimination. Lots of fruits, veggies and beans. Minimal meat. Turns out lots of what I was eating is on the “no” list for this phase in the diet. Anyway, I thought I’d share the article and I’ll let you all know if by some chance this is the year my gut gets in gear and I stop having my sun hives.
