I'M ON THE EDGE.. OF EXISTENCE!! AND I'M HANGING ON BY A THREAD 🎶 New endocrinologist reckons it might not be peri at all.. might be my ovaries. She was comforted by the fact that HRT seems to have helped some of my symptoms but when I told her all the things I continue to experience, she was baffled. I sobbed at her side as she reassured me 'I will get to the bottom of this'. When I asked if there was a chance I was just mental, she gave a half smile, put her hand on my shoulder and said 'that will be the conclusion when we have exhausted every avenue'. The way I felt so seen, validated and held in that moment was the single most positive feeling I've had since this all started 3 years ago. It has taken a billion phone calls, several lots of blood work every 3 months, a copious amount of medication and trials, 3 written complaints and a million hospital visits to get that ONE EXPERIENCE. Will there ever be an end to the relentless twists and turns..
